Nigerian troops have rescued 200 girls from Sambisa forest, the notorious hideout of the insurgent group, Boko Haram, the defence headquarters said Tuesday. The girls were found Tuesday afternoon alongside 93 women who were also rescued, the military said.

Nigeria’s President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, has said that Boko Haram will be denied a recruitment base the moment local communities realize that its claim to being a religious group is nothing but a fraud.

South Africa has condemned Nigeria's decision to recall its ambassador over a spate of attacks against foreigners. It called the step "unfortunate and regrettable" and said it "would be curious for a sisterly country to want to exploit such a painful episode".

The South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, has described the recall of Nigeria’s High Commissioner as an “unfortunate and regrettable” diplomatic step.

  If you lose your phone ever again, Google has got your back.  The search engine announced on Wednesday that its new phone-finding feature can help Android users find their device using the search function.  Simply go to Google and type "find my phone" in the search bar and the results will show a map showing the last known location of you device.  You can even use the search page to dial your phone and it'd ring! - then you can then locate it (if you misplaced it under your couch, for example).  This feature works by connecting the same Google account to your PC and to your Android phone.
