The Federal Government, on Thursday released names of 492 delegates to the National Conference, which would be inaugurated on Monday, 17 March. In a statement issued on Thursday, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, made it known that the Federal Government has appointed three additional Assistant Secretaries for the conference.

A delegation of members of the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party who went to the Abeokuta residence of President Olusegun Obasanjo got a shocker of their lives as they were stopped from entering the house of the respected leader and turned back at the gate.
