INVESTIGATION: David Mark’s wife, Dangote, Adenuga, others named in #SwissLeaks as operators of secret foreign accounts

Some of Nigeria’s wealthiest industrialists, former government officials and their relatives, were amongst thousands of individuals around the world who operated highly secretive foreign accounts with the Swiss branch of banking giant, HSB​C, concealing their identities for years and using codes perhaps to shake off tax authorities from accounts, some of which held illicit assets from criminals, traffickers, arms dealers and other outlaws, secret files published last week by a consortium of journalists around the world have shown.

Nigerian military goes after Boko Haram in Sambisa forest

The Nigerian military has finally invaded the notorious Sambisa forest base of the terrorist group, Boko Haram. A statement by the Defence Spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, said a concerted air campaign by the Nigerian Air Force was ongoing in the forest to clear the terrorists from their enclaves.

Police apprehends robbery syndicate including three graduates

Police operatives in Lagos have smashed two gangs of armed robbers and kidnappers arrested in different areas of the state. While the armed robbers were arrested in Ogun, the kidnappers were nabbed for abducting one Saheed Kolawole, a Director of Scot Hotel at Odonla in Ikorodu, Lagos. The suspected robbers are: Manven Bali, 40, Cheikube Emeka, 32, Ejike Chukwuemeka, 37, Nura Mohammed, 33, Jacob Ali, 28, Titus Johana, 31, and Richard Augustine, 30.
