GOING FOR NYSC? REMEMBER THESE IF YOU CAN

1. Buy A WAIST BAG (Your
best friend for the duration where everything will be put including phone/s, money, etc. Ssshhhh! Don't remove it for any reason, not even when you retire to bed at night)

2. But at least 3 change of clothes
for the three Sundays you will be there (optional because you are free to your white short and t-shirt that you will be used to for the whole three weeks)

3. Get
some provision won't be out of place because the meals there are not necessarily up to standard depeending on the family you come from. Also, some sellers use this time to make some money
by multiplying prices of goods.

4. Get at least 3 pairs of white shorts (3 quarters are allowed in most cases) to complement the low quality ones
you get on camp.

5. Get at least a pair of canvass if you can afford because you would be glad I told you this.
6. Guess what? Some people are there on camp to "illegally" sew and sell khaki to all those who may not love their own. Though illegal, and some people get penalized actually, these sets are usually more beautiful. Maybe the change has touched this area and nice ones are now being made. But mine was bad! I did not make another anyway.
7. Get a pair of slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other things you need on a daily basis. Ladies should have their pads with them surely. Don't bother about panadol because you will be entitled to more than just panadol there. Don't pretend you are sick because the doctors are not lazy. Lol!
8. Hold your
bible, your
hymnals, a nice but short piece of writing for meditation that platoons take turns to present.

9. Don't go with your
crimes, your ill will, your AMEBO/Gossips, your bad mouth, your jealousy, your "test-and-see", etc.

10. Don't go thinking corpers (I mean corps members
) are not or are refined Nigerians. They are about the truest representation of the ills of the Nigerian society - they steal, rob, commit all kinds of ills that space permit them to commit and time allows. So, be watchful!

11. Don't carry your JJC there because 419ers are also there in numbers. See, if you are a careless talker, mind yourself. There are official of the SSS, yes SSS, who also take part in the whole exercise for the sake of DOING THEIR JOB. Don't give them any job to do.
12. Carry your community service spirit with you because it is never going to be redundant. You will need it!
13. If you have passed through a school and are now called up to serve, it means you are an adult capable of taking responsibilities. Don't forget this and also don't allow any sabi sabi corps member
to make you feel inferior even if they schooled in the moon not abroad.

14. Don't follow others to sneak out. Don't break rules - it doesn't make camp fun. Just be obedient please! It makes you prepare for leadership in the future.
15. PRAY! PRAY!! PRAY!!!
16. please you can always come here
