Nigeria wins first ever African basketball title, qualifies for Rio Olympics

The Nigeria national men basketball team, D’Tigers, have been crowned champions of Africa for the first time ever following their 74-65 victory over Angola in the 2015 Afrobasket final.
Sunday’s win is the first ever recorded by Nigeria over Angola in the Afrobasket as the Southern African country have always beaten the D’Tigers.
It was, however, a different ball game on Sunday night as the D’Tigers roared to victory in spectacular fashion to win the African crown and by extension secure qualification for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
More to come…
