I'm totally against the idea of opposite sex #BESTIE

I'm totally against the idea of people in Relationships keeping members of the opposite sex as BESTIES. I mean; why should your boyfriend have a babe as his bestie? What happened to his chain of male friends? None is worthy to be crowned his bestie?. I quite understand some people prefer keeping members of the opposite sex as close friends but I think it's risky to take such delicate preferences into your relationship..

We are not going to have a flawless relationship; we would fight, we would quarrel and we would have enough issues like every sane relationship would have. Who will you run to for advice and solace? Whose shoulders will you cry on? Your Bestie.. Sometimes you share deep secrets with him/her that you would never share with your partner. Gradually the connection between you guys grow so strong you begin to build feelings for each other.. Oh please! don't tell me I'm insecured,these things happen.. The heart is a very funny and complicated organ; it could make decisions without consulting you and in no time you will be catching feelings for your Bestie..
Don't bring in unnecessary problems into your relationship. If you must have a Bestie whilst in a relationship, it should be someone of the same sex. Keeping a Bestie of the opposite sex is like keeping a bottle of coke in the fridge; One day you will drink...... lol
