President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday issued a rare public rebuke of his predecessor, Olusegun Obasanjo, accusing him of attempting to return to power through the backdoor by foisting an Interim National Government on Nigeria, in the hope he will be made head of the administration.

Three thousand Nigerians have applied for the 39 available slots of the 2015 Chevening Scholarship awarded by the United Kingdom government, the country’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Andrew Pocock has said. Mr. Pocock made the disclosure last Tuesday at a reception party held for the 2014 Chevening Scholars.

A former ‎governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has faulted the decision of a Federal High Court in Yola to transfer the case he instituted over his impeachment by the Adamawa State House of Assembly to Abuja. The transfer was ordered by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Ibrahim Auta.
